We celebrated Jonathan's birthday by having "afternoon tea" at Prive - the marina restaurant near our home. No one drank tea.

Actually I had myself a Singapore Sling, because there were no gluten-free desserts. The girls and Jonathan ordered the vegan Oreo Ice cream Cake. It's Jonathan's favorite dessert in Singapore. They ate all the cake.
I brought candles and we very quietly sang happy birthday. Jonathan doesn't like a big deal, especially in a restaurant. The restaurant did notice though, because they discretely gave him over an oversized birthday card signed by Prive when we were leaving. That's a pretty awesome souvenir for a place we go to all the time.

Actually the girls pointed out that they hadn't been there since Singapore went into lockdown last Spring. They were thrilled that the restaurant playground was open there again. It's very fittingly in the form of a ship.
As we were leaving the girls had a chat with Kenix, the robot. This robot gives directions and helps people with services in the marina. He's probably the 4th robot we know personally in Singapore.
