The big girls decided to do a Food Colour Challenge to see if they could each eat food of just one colour for a whole day.
MsE drew yellow from the pile the night before; MsC drew Green. I made an Amazon Fresh delivery with a number of yellow and green foods, and accidentally ordered groceries to arrive between 9 and 11 pm. Luckily just as I was settling into bed I received the text notification, and I made it to the door in time, so they didn't ring our doorbell at 10:30 at night. I had meant for the groceries to arrive between 9 and 11 am the next day.
The girls started their morning off by picking out all the yellow or green Fruit Loops from the box. MsC got milk with green food colouring in it. She was happy we had real green food colouring because Pandan flavouring is very green but also rather odd tasting.

We went out for the day and the girls brought their snacks. MsC got green apples and grapes. MsE got yellow taco chips and a banana. We ordered Thai bananas for a change. They are much smaller and grow in a flat semi-circle, instead of a bunch. MsI wanted to know what was wrong with the bananas, but everyone ate them anyhow.

Later MsC made us homemade guacamole. She also ate the other half of the lime after using one side for squeezing some lime juice in to her mixture. MsC ate the guacamole with cucumber slices. She tried asparagus spears too. Dinner was lettuce wraps for burritos.

Being super brave, MsC tried her Dad's Indian Green Chili Pickle Sauce at the end of dinner. It's super spicy and Jonathan eats it on everything.

MsE avoided being too adventurous. She ate waffles for lunch and french toast for dinner. But she still did it, which for such a picky eater was a huge accomplishment. They both did it! They ate only one colour for a whole day. MsI ate a lot of both colours that day.

The girls wanted to do it again the next morning. Instead we talked about the importance of eating the whole rainbow.
