Crocogators

Today's a cool day in Singapore: overcast and 27 C at noon.

We had the entire Olympic sized pool to ourselves, plus the shallower side pool, the wading pool, and the Jacuzzi to ourselves too. No worries about social spacing or trying to stay in our groups of 5 today.

Every morning we take the kids swimming. I took the tape measure with us yesterday. The pool smaller pool we usually stick to measured 25 x 75 feet. This proved that MsI can swim at least 25 feet now. She easily swims across it. People frequently ask me for referrals to her Swim Instructor while their kids paddle by in water wings.

Sorry, MsI is self-taught.

MsI is now a strong enough swimmer to use the pool floaties. Today she was wresting crocodiles in the Club House pool. She was eager to knock herself in. If it took too long, she would just jump off and swim her crocodile to shore so she could jump back on.

In North America we call them Alligators; in Singapore they're Crocodiles. MsI liked to call them "Crocogators" when we first moved here; She's got it straight now. I, on the other hand, still fumble the title every time.

Salt Water Crocodiles...North America Alligators: That's how I keep them straight.
