Part of staying at the Raffles Hotel was to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary, so we planned to visit one of the hotel's fancy restaurants.

We weren't sure where we were going to eat, because I am terrible at making reservations, but we were going to enjoy our last evening out without the kids.
The restaurants are on the Left side of the hotel, so we exited the Lobby and moved through the more public area. We found this lovely courtyard, but it had just finished raining so we stayed under the covered walkways.

We chose the Tiffin Room, which serves India food for lunch and dinner. We were so impressed. I've been out for India food with my friend Aasma a couple of times in Singapore, but Jonathan had only eaten Indian food via Delivery or a Hawker Stall.
The Tiffin Room was fine dining. It can be hard to get dairy free Indian food, but the chef helped Jonathan out with recommendations that he could customize to be dairy free.
We both decided to order a glass of wine, which we never do. Jonathan got red; I got white. We took the Sommelier's advice who had come to the table to walk us through the options based on our meal selections, although we didn't take his most expensive recommendation.

For appetizers we started with Popadam flat breads, we had the deep fried and pan fried options with 3 sauces: a chutney, a mint one and something more like a chutney. Then we tried a fried corn cake dish. We even eat all the beetroot salad that came with it.

For the main course we had Lamb Rogan Josh with white rice - the cinnamon really popped out in this dish. We considered ordering a few main dishes to share, but we both wanted this dish all to ourselves. It didn't disappoint. Actually the food tasted completely amazing.
