We met up with a large group of home schoolers who meet up weekly in various parks around Singapore.
We've known about them for a while, but hadn't made the trek to join them. They were meeting The Far East Organization Children's Garden, which is located at Gardens by the Bay - one of our favorite special spots, so we decided to venture out.
We found the group under the large covered tiered seating area. All the kids started out at the Splash Pad, but the bigger kids relocated to the playground behind for some group games not too long after. Thankfully the little ones, didn't seem to realize there was a large playground to roam through hidden behind the parents' seating. I hardly saw MsC for the next 2 hours, unless I went looking specifically for her or she was running past.

This was an awesome set up. The Mom's were able to chat in the shade under the fans. The kids came back and grabbed from the group snack when they felt like it. The little ones stayed in sight and the big kids were contained, but separate and in totally child led activity. They were running about in a large pack together.
Eventually MsE followed the big kids into the playground and then I hung out there for a bit. It was very lovely playground. It was shady and surrounded by trees. You climbed various ways up about 3 levels and there were slides to get down. The whole bottom of the playground was sand, which was nice on all those bare feet from playing in the splash pad.

Garden's By the Bay has our favorite Hawker Centre, so we headed there for dinner. 2 other home school families joined us. Jonathan met us there too, so there were 4 adults at one table and 8 kids at the other. It was fun chatting with the Moms at the Splash Park, but my favorite part was talking with these 2 Moms over fantastic food. They're both expats who have been living in Singapore for quite a while now.
