Our aquariums all have their fish! They're complete, at least for them moment.
The Aquarium Store was so patient with us, although we did buy a lot of fish in the end. We took up almost all the capacity in the store while we did it, because the number of people allowed in at once are limited to square footage due to COVID-19.

Ms C chose 2 types of fish. She knew exactly what she was going for and was sorted in about 5 minutes.
MsE on the other hand was paralyzed by the choices. She started out by requesting a salt water fish for her fresh water tank and I knew this was going to take her a while. She wanted a variety of fish in her tank. However, the aquariums the girls have are small, so every time MsE chose a different fish, she was told whether or not she could still have 3 types of fish if she chose that one. It was like an endless loop. I had to take her outside for a break from choosing because it was too overwheming. That's when Jonathan chose more fish for the big aquarium.

Decisions were eventually made.
MsC picked a female and a male Guppy in the hopes that they breed, and one female Betta. It was the Betta she was most concerned about. She added the Guppies at the last moment and would have been content with just the one fish.
MsE wanted more fish than that. She got 1 Oto, 2 male Guppies, and 3 Corydoras. MsE chose male Guppies, because she did not want them to breed and have the possibility of baby fish being eaten in her tank. It took a lot of discussion between MsE, her Dad and the Fish Store guy to get the right amount of fish figured out for her.

All the tanks also have snails and shrimp, both of whom will help keep the tanks clean. Now, we wait for the plants to grow.
