My arm is sore today. Jonathan and I got our flu shots yesterday.

I'm very surprised to see flu shots available so early. In north America I try to get mine before December hits, but early October timing here sounds pretty normal. I'm glad Jonathan's work was hosting a flu clinic, because I wouldn't have even thought about going looking for shots yet. Actually, it's hard to remember it's Autumn at all, so I might have forgotten entirely.

The reason we're getting our flu shots. That's Ms.I licking the MRT on the way to the flu clinic.

It all started the same as normal.

Then we were handed a business card and given a spiel by the host about being able to help us with our financial services before we could proceed to the nurses. I guess hosting a flu clinic is a way to get into a business to do marketing here. Anyhow we got it done, and I was glad to be able to show the girls that flu shots really don't hurt.

They told us we could bring the kids, but there was only vaccine available for age 9 and up, so we'll head to a doctor's near here to get the kids shots. There's a clinic in the mall next door so maybe we can drop in on our way home from the MRT - We're off to meet another homeschool family and visit the Tiong Bahru Wet Market this morning.

PS. The image at the top is the flock of pigeons we saw eating bird seed as we left Jonathan's office.
