MsC finished her Math book so we celebrated with a trip to the movies. We figured it was time to try a Gold Class theater.

We passed through the regular theater lobby to the Gold Lounge. After admittance, we admired the bar and looked at the full restaurant menu. You can get actual meals in here to eat either in the lounge or in your movie seat. We decided to wait to order our drinks and snacks until we were in our movie seats. Seeing how nice the lounge was with its velour seats, I wish we'd arrived sooner.

When we were seated we just scanned the bar code at our seats, selected what we wanted and paid in the app with a credit card. The waiter brought our order to us just after the movie started. It was lovely not to wait in any snack lines and to not have to juggle carrying everyone's food back to our seats. The girls got juice. I considered the hot tea list, but selected an Iced London Fog Latte. It was the same price as a pop. MsC got the salted popcorn and I got the caramel popcorn. Next time I'll get the half-and-half option. I saw the waiter bring Jonathan another order of onion rings half way through the movie. No running out to buy more snacks half way through the movie here.
The theater only had 32 seats in it, which made me feel a lot better about Covid. The seats were set up as pairs of two with touch of a button recliners with a small snack table between. There was so much space between the rows that views were completely unobstructed, even when the waiter dropped off food at the row below you. Jonathan also said he couldn't hear MsC chatting away through the movie to me in the row behind him. MsE brought her blankie "Blue," in case she was scared, but there were wrapped blankets provided on each seat.

It was an expensive adventure, especially because we took a cab there and back, but I don't know how we'll go back to "regular" movies after this experience.
Oh yeah, we were there to watch Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon. Great movie! We all liked it. We highly recommend it. It's set in a mythical land based on South East Asia, so we really needed to see while living here. I totally recognized where they had taken inspiration from the local cultures.
