After the fridge died, we had dinner at the Hawker Centre: an assorted collection of dinners.

The drink vendor saw MsC from a mile away and was smiling and waving away at her. She is very loyal and hasn't been in the Hawker Centre much since COVID. But still she will only buy the blueberry-lychee drinks off him. We had to turn the more aggressive drink vendors away from our table, so that she could go to his stall. McC bought 3 drinks and then left without her change. He noticed and dropped it off at our table a few minutes later, just as I was puzzling at how she had spent the whole $10. He actually only charged us $4, so I'm pretty sure he gave us a deal.

MsC and MsI ate Singaporean Chicken Rice. I got to steal MsI's chicken broth that the meal comes with; It's my favorite part and sometimes MsI won't give it up.

I had Indian Thosai (like thin crepes). MsE surprised us by agreeing to Prata (Indian Flat Bread). Even more surprising, she didn't even blink when they put curry for dipping on her tray and then she even tried it without prompting. A year ago just seeing the curry on the plate would have meant she wouldn't even have touched the prata - well, a year ago she wouldn't have eaten prata either.

When asked what she thought of the curry, she said, "The dip is yuck, but I tried it 4 times, so I can use the Nintendo when I get home, right?" Nintendo time is her food trying reward.

5 full dinners cost $16, plus we spent $4 on drinks. That's $20 on dinner, which is also what Jonathan spent on take out for 1. We're only allowed out as a group of 5 in Singapore, so Jonathan offered to stay home so our Helper could come out with us girls for dinner.

The next morning the girls got left over veggies for their morning snack - an effort to use up the last surviving vegetables. The fruit was already gone.
