A Walk at Henderson Waves

On Saturday's we leave the kids at home and have lunch out as a couple. We go to the same place and they usually give us the same table - because we really are "regulars."

But shock! Our usual restaurant was hosting a party and the whole place was closed to the public today. I was not disappointed by the chance for a change, and I got to introduce Jonathan to the new Japanese place I like. $10 each for rice, soup, meat, sprouts and cabbage. That's a lot cheaper than our usual burgers.

I just love that they cook this Japanese food on the grill in front of you. Also there were no forks in sight.

Technically this place is found in our Mall Food Court - Food Republic, but it felt special to us.

After lunch we took the cable cars up Mt. Faber and walked to Henderson Waves. It's a bridge in the park, so called because the walk way has a sculptural element on one side which looks like a giant curving waves running down it.

There were many nice views from the peak. At Mt. Faber Point we saw arrows pointing to different Singapore sights and cities in neighbouring countries. We also spotted a merlion. It was smaller than I expected.
