We have just one month left on our S.E.A Aquarium Annual Pass, so we figured we should try to fit in a few more visits.
We've been working on completing the kids' Marine Explorers Program for more than a year and needed to complete 2 more activities (in the form of worksheets) before our memberships expired to get the final prize. We already collected our 3/4 completion prize which was a S.E.A Aquarium pin. The girls also like to sketch the marine creatures for their Nature Journals. A visit to the Aquarium takes us a few hours to complete.
MsI isn't a member so she can't collect the worksheets. I brought her a pad of paper stapled together and she "sketched" along with the big girls. The Aquarium gave her a sticker when the big girls collected their worksheets from Customer Service. MsI put it on the front of her stack of papers.

We lucked out and saw one of the scuba divers changing tank filters. We watched him for quite a while.

We were intrigued by a fish which opened it's mouth huge and looked like it had holes in it's cheeks to filter the water out. We speculated about what type of food that fish likely ate. I assume it's something tiny filtered from the water.

MsI really liked the sea horses and the jellyfish.

We know that there is a no sitting rule in the Aquarium due to Covid, but the girls figured lying on the floor to watch the fish and rays glide across the dome above their heads didn't count. Eventually they were told to move along, but we noticed that staff were a lot more relaxed than they were on previous visits, probably because Singapore is in Phase 3, the most relaxed of Covid restrictions currently.

Chinese New Year is less than a month away now. The Aquarium was decorated up for it with glowing red lanterns, dragons and signs indicating auspicious marine animals. The girls banged the drum in front of the dragon, reminding us of dragon dances.

When we handed in our worksheet, I asked about how we could get our last sticker and they just gave us the last sticker and let us go pick up our prize. The aquarium was closed for months, but we were given extra time on our passes to make up for it, so I was surprised that they did this for us. They also gave us the last worksheet so if we make it back in time, we'll complete the last one, but at least we have our fantastic prize. The girls each received a box set which included an S.E.A Aquarium pin, a small stuffed dolphin, a water bottle and a children's watch.
