Ms. E tells us about the Mynas

Ms.E has always been one to watch the birds, but she's taking her bird-watching to a whole new level in Singapore. Ms.E's observations at breakfast today are as follows (4.5 years old):

"A Myna is a bird. Mynas eat persons' food. Mynas have beaks that can eat people's food. They eat the food when the people are away. They sneak!

They like to stand on bars where they wait for their food to eat, and then they fly back to another. They do not drink coffee. They go on houses. And, they do not like bananas. I love Mynas.

The Mynas are stealing their breakfast.

They have crazy hair and smooth hair. The crazy hair comes up from the smooth hair and scares the predators away. White on their wings. Yellow on their beaks. Orange on their feet and legs. Grey on their tummy. Black on the back. And they have a white tail underneath and on top.

The 'small ones' like to go with the Mynas, because the big ones protect the small ones.

The small ones - Looks like the Eurasian Tree Sparrow.

OH! They puffed up their tummy!!! There was a bird battle!!! How can birds be scared of other birds?"
