MsI is not far away from 4 years old now. This is what she's up to.

She likes to go on an "adventure." She often says, "I want to go far far away." Sometimes she knows where she wants to go and sometimes she doesn't. But, she always knows how she intends to get there. She'll tell us specifically: Scooter, Bus, Train or Car. She has her own bus pass and beeps in and out herself on the bus. Lately, we tend to leave the stroller at home. MsI carries her dinosaur backpack with her own water and snack. If it's a rainy day and we can't go, she will cry out, "But, I'm so BORED!!!"

Her drawings are getting quite complex (a head with a face and arms and legs attached to the body). Below is her "Very Angry Bear" picture and her explanation. She's practicing writing letters and knows some of their sounds. Yesterday she demanded "Tea Time with Books." She also likes to "read" to herself and will come up with a story based on the pictures. She sings little ditties all day long - a combination of nursery rhymes, the pop songs she learns through MsC, and ones she make up.

MsI noticing on her own that our 2 copies of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" are exactly the same.

She is fearless on the playground. She goes every day before dinner and usually in the morning too. She does her best to keep up with the big kids after school, whether it's playing ball, tag, climbing or balancing. She even tried the monkey bars and a climbing wall the other day.

She got up there herself.

She lets Mommy and Daddy go out for lunch on Saturdays without complaint, as long as they agree to return with fries for her. Auntie and her usually paint while Mom and Dad are out.

When the storms turn to thunder and lightening, MsI will be hear do calmly remark, "I'd better ask my sisters to make me a tent" in which she will hide away in until it's over. She decided she needed a fuzzy blanket like MsE's "Blue," and so MsI now has a blankie named "Goldie." MsI and Goldie are sharing a room with MsE now and enjoy sleeping in the bottom bunk bed.
