Right beside Subway and the Cable Car Station is Sentosa's Nature Discovery Centre. This little gem is a free 2-story centre bursting with information about Singapore. Tracking down all the information it holds in real life will probably take us all year. One visit we used the animal calls centre and then listened carefully to the animals on our walk. Another time we focused on trees. There are 5 habitats highlighted on the island; we will spend a day and adventure out to each one eventually.

Listening to the nature calls.

The lower floor has interesting pieces from Singapore's past. We came across the Tricycle Rickshaw below right after reading a poem and wondering what one looked like. The kids love to play the drums in the playhouse Kampong home.

Trying out a tricycle rickshaw as you would have seen in Singapore's earlier days.
Drums for drumming.

It's a nice anchor for a nature walk and a great resource when we have a question about what we've seen around.
