It's been almost a week since the enhanced restrictions started up again in Singapore. For the most part, it's been fine.

Jonathan and I usually go our for lunch on Saturday. Actually we always go out for lunch each Saturday. 11:50 am will see us in line at Black Tap, where the staff have even memorized our allergy friendly order.

This is the first Saturday restaurants are closed for in-house dining, so it took us a little effort to figure out what to do with our Saturday lunch. Should we skip lunch out? Go for a walk instead? Pick up Take-Away right from the restaurant? Order it for Delivery?

When we went online to order food, Jonathan discovered that his Vegan Vanilla Shake was unavailable. He tried calling the restaurant only to learn they were out of stock. That's pretty much the moment where Jonathan realized thing are not as they were.

We ordered anyhow. I grabbed a table cloth and real plates for outside. Jonathan met our Grab driver and we found a quiet table outside our condo for just the 2 of us.

Going out 2 by 2 has been a bit awkward. When one kid goes out, someone else inevitably feels left out. We noticed groups of 3 and 4 people around our condo complex quite a bit over the last week. Today was unusually quiet though. It's likely due to the warning notice sent out by our condo.

It said Government Inspectors have been to our condo 4 times in the last week, and people did not responded well when told to put their masks on or to separate into groups of 2. This has resulted in the Condo Management receiving a official warning. The Inspectors will return soon, at which time they can issue fines. This could also result in our Condo Facilities being closed by the government. I hope everyone gets their act together.

We've noticed a lot of people heading out of Singapore. A number of friends are going for extended visits to their home countries, even knowing that they will likely be in 3 weeks of quarantine when they return to Singapore. Travel is only an option for Permanent Residents and Singaporean Citizens. As Work Pass holders we do not have permission to re-enter the country currently.
