Shipping
Our shipping container arrived on July 6. We had 2 hours to load it.
Luckily Covid restrictions had lifted a bit and the drivers were now allowed to load the container for us. We asked them what we could do to help and they said nothing. The kids were out with our Helper playing, so we did some packing for the airplane.
We used Seven Seas Shipping and it was way cheaper than a lot of places. They do these small containers that get packed into the large shipping container with other bins to save on costs. We got their largest container and we need to pick it up at the Vancouver Port ourselves.
The movers fit so much more in the container than we could have ourselves. They came and asked me at the end if there was anything else I wanted to go, because they still had room. We cramed the fake Christmas tree and all 3 of the kids scooters in at the last second.
Looks pretty full to me.
What was in the shipping container?
Mostly books, with some personal memorabilia, photo albums, kids toys, a safe, my new tea chest cabinet, the 2 rugs, the guitar, and my china. I'm pretty sure there's tea and coffee in there. I believe there were 47 boxes in total.
Shipping is expected to take 60 to 80 days, so Crate we shall see you in September.
