Happy Thanksgiving

This tastes like Canada, everyone agreed.

It happened a week late, but we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with a family dinner. Going around the table each of us said we were thankful for some version of getting to living in Singapore and for our new friends, except MsI. She says she is thankful for "Canada!"

Dinner was a week late because of the ham. Jonathan asked, "Can you order a turkey Amazon Prime?" - Delivery in 2 hours. No, no you can not order a turkey on Amazon Prime. No turkey breast or turkey roll either. I did find ham, new potatoes, frozen peas and frozen corn, and cranberry sauce - That was starting to sound like a Canadian dinner!

When I went to cook the ham, I saw that it contained gluten and dairy. Then I considered just making the oven stuffing. I had the gluten free bread, ground pork and seasoning salt, but I couldn't find my recipe after the move. So...

We ordered Vietnamese through Deliveroo.

I gave away my ham on the playground and tried going into the grocery store. With my gluten free and dairy free ham sourced we had a lovely "Canadian" dinner. I still haven't found my stuffing recipe, and this version was okay, but definitely not my usual. It needed more ground pork, poultry seasoning, salt, and thyme (maybe some broth too). I'm hoping I can find a turkey for Christmas. I imagine there were not many Canadians trying to celebrate Thanksgiving in Singapore.

Look at how much stuffing MsI insisted on having.
