We decided to try out a ride on the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) and headed to Fort Canning and a playground outside of our neighbourhood.
We were out for about 3 hours and it was a pretty successful trip out. The girls all said they weren't coming until they realized we were headed to the park with the slides in the hillside. They were as nervous as us to go OUT for the day.

The MRT was quiet on a mid-day weekday. After transferring to a new MRT line, we found the park easily. It's right beside the MRT station. This park is right near where we first stayed when we moved to Singapore and it felt so familiar to be back here. There are all these slides built right into the hillside to ride down and lots of climbing structures. Our favorite climbing one was roped off closed, but other than that everything was as we remembered it, except the foliage was a little more grown up.
Singapore is huge, but also small, so I wasn't all that surprised when our neighbours strolled up and said hello to us.

I would have liked to have explored the Fort, but everyone was hungry and we had gotten in our fair share of exercise. My new motto is Don't Over Do It! We did get in a little walk, where we spotted a lizard and tried to name some of the local plants. We spotted the typical Jungle Fowl (similar to chickens) here too.

I ordered us a Grab home. I could hardly remember how our car seats worked it had been almost 4 month since the kids were in a car. Our Helper wasn't familiar with our types of car seats and really most kids in Singapore don't bother with car seats once they're school age. But we figured it out; I hope I remembered to tip the driver for having to wait as I strapped/unstrapped everybody in and out.
