The Other Side of the Botanic Gardens

Glen Eagle Hospital, where MsC was being treated for her stitches, is right near the Botanic Gardens. After MsC's follow up appointment, the 2 of us took a side trip there.

I'd never been in this entrance before. It was like a whole new place. The Gardens are huge!

MsC working on her map skills.

Below is a tree! It's branches grow downwards. When a branch touches the ground it grows roots. The tree obviously becomes very very strong.

We poked into the Heritage Musuem, which highlights the Park's history. It was a bit dry for MsC.

We had more fun at the building across from it which was showing "The Art of Birding". I bet MsI would have loved it! It showed all kinds of photographs, sketches and paintings of birds found in Singapore. Actually there were some sculptures too.

I really liked how this display was up on the wall. I could probably do that at home.
MsC was pretty impressed with the shadows this wire sculpture threw.
Black Ink
I like the pen ink drawings the best.

We found ourselves some sorbet in the park before we headed home to the other girls.
