I loved that patio at the Raffles Hotel. It was a bit of a contrast to the tiny one at our condo that I usually drank my morning Kopi on.
After our swim the Butler brought our Welcome drinks. Singapore Slings for the Jonathan and I. The others got Mango juice, except for MsE who requested Orange Juice. We all made ourselves right at home and had our afternoon snack on the patio.

The patio over looked an interior courtyard of the hotel. It was a very peaceful afternoon. MsE didn't finish juice. We put it a bit too close to the freezer in the bar fridge. She ended up with a slushie the next day which she was thrilled to drink on the patio the next day.
In contrast, the next day we watched Singapore Air Force's doing fly bys. Their fighter jets were out doing close maneuvers to practice for the aerial part of the upcoming Singapore Independence Day celebrations. The jets were swerving around so close to the buildings just past us. I can't remember if it was 5 or 7 jets. MsI was shouting "Too Loud!! Too Loud!!" and covering her ears, but I loved it.

We did Lunch out there on day. I brought back Subway and Pho Take-Away after packing the rest of the luggage.

My favorite time was probably the evening. It's cooler, plus you could see all the city lights. I ate dinner out there with the kids.
