I wondered how the waterfall in the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands worked.
There was just a round hole in the ceiling and no water running whenever I walked by. Tuns out it runs on rain water. Jonathan and I walked by when it was pouring outside and were thrilled by the waterfall inside.
The curve in the roof gathers rainwater and the shape makes the water swirl around as it runs out the hole. The motion of the water above sounds like ocean waves, and then there's the sound of the waterfall hitting the water in the indoor canal underneath it.
People pay to be polled down the canal and around the waterfall in the mall. You can have tea and watch the boats float by.

I visited the TWG Tea Shop. This brand can be purchased all over the world, but the company was actually founded in Singapore.

The names of these tea blends sound wonderful: Weekend in Dubai; Weekend in Shanghai; Weekend in Casablanca. The Weekend series is black and/or green leaf teas mixed with dried flowers, spices and fruit to remind you of these parts of the world.

At $40 for a box of loose tea, I thought I'd better try these in the Tea Room first. Unfortunately, I had just finished lunch, so I'll be back to sample teas another day.
I also took some time to admire the gold tea sets around the room too. Composed of a sculpted tea pot and 2 beautiful cups, these sets sold for about $5,000.
