I was going to head to Universal Studios with at least one child, but they were all grumpy so I went alone!

Thankfully I hadn't told anyone my plan or I wouldn't have dared to go alone.

Roller coasters! Yea!!! And with no one waiting for me. Double Yea!

There was a limited amount of decorations for Lunar New Year. Only Hollywood Blvd. was decorated - where you first walk in. I was expecting more decorations. They do have a dragon dance scheduled for the weekend though. I love their use of the Minions for Year of the Rat though!

This guy threw me a "Flying Kiss" as I was leaving.

I ate North Indian Food for lunch. The Oasis Spice Cafe is set in some ancient Egyptian Ruins. The $16 SG/CAD for lunch is too much, but it is a lot of food. It's $5 for a drink so I skipped that. My Annual Pass gets me 20% off the $16 though.

My mountain of Mutton Biryani.
Heading towards the BattleStar Galactica Rollercoasters after my lunch.

To ride the roller coasters in Universal Singapore, you have to stash everything you are carrying in a locker. The lockers are right at the ride entrance and are free for a period of time, so unless you leave your things there for hours you won't be charged anything. The lockers are locked and unlocked by your finger print. At least you don't have to remember your number and can't loose the key.

The employees use a wand to search you for metal before they let you into the ride line up. In case you managed to sneak something through, you get wanded again right you again before you get on the actual BattleStar Galactica rides.

I think the metal detectors are a bit overkill, except on the Cylon side you do go upside down at least 3 times. They even make me take off and stash my Annual Pass in a cubby beside where we board the ride. I have to take the pass with me right to the end so I can board through the Express line.

I rode The Mummy; BattleStar Galactica Humans; and BattleStar Galactica Cylons twice. In 90 minutes I was able to eat lunch and have 4 rollercoaster rides using my Express pass. I did a little shopping on my way home. Including travel time, I was only gone for a total of 3 hours.
