Universal Studios Singapore - Annual Pass Sign Up

We finally bit the bullet and bought our Annual Passes to Universal Studios Singapore, and it is soooo fun!!!

I was hoping to get to Universal right when it opened at 10 am, but it was raining so we waited till the shower was over. It was closer to 11 am when we got through the gate. I also should have checked, but ticket sales opened an hour before the gate, so we really could have arrived at like 9:30 am, which would have gotten us there even before it started raining. It seemed pretty quiet for a Saturday, so I'm sure that the rain and the forecast keep the crowds lower, even though there was only the one morning rain shower.

Our day passes to get through the gate, then we had to get our annual passes processed.

The line in only took a few minutes, but then I had to run away to get rid of apples, because there is no outside food allowed in Universal. I didn't want to have to go through bag check with 2 bags and a giant stroller again. Of course I couldn't find a garbage can. This is one of the ironies of Singapore. Littering carries a steep fine, and there is never a garbage can around. I thought about giving away the apples, but everyone at the gate was of course in the same situation and trying to get into Universal. I finally ran up to Universal's VIP Services door, and the clerk at the door looked happy to get some free apples. Apples are expensive in Singapore. I consider it a deal if I can get apples for $0.50 each, but I've seen them up to $3 per apple. I handed her 3.

Inside the gate, we had to get our pictures taken, provide all our personal info, and have our ID cards printed up. They have gave us ipads to fill out the info, and some nice enough leather benches to sit on. That probably took about 20 minutes. There were 4 cards to get done. Under age 4 is still free, so we didn't need to do Ms.I.

Finally loose in the park, we headed for Far Far Away to see Shrek and Fiona. Which made Jonathan and I laugh because that's where we have moved...Far Far Away.

I'll write more about Universal soon.
