We ate lunch at 3 Buns near Clarke Quay. Eating hamburgers on a patio was nice, but the price was deadly. $65 for a light lunch for the 4 of us. Ms.I was asleep in the stroller.
I did love that there was an outdoor playground in the courtyard. All the kids played while the parents ate and socialized in peace. It’s a 5 minute walk from our current place. This is the first location in Singapore where I haven't felt conspicuously white. It was almost completely full of what I imagine were Expats.
Ms.C was having foot races around the courtyard, and taking turns on local kids scooters. Ms.E was dragging over loose parts in the form of giant palm tree leaves to use in the play structure. And this was all completely normal and basically expected behaviour. Other than the odd parent who stayed near a barely walking toddler, there were no parents involved at all. Kids came and went from the tables and the adult conversations as their leisure.
